About Elijah
I am a professionally working actor with a current, practical understanding of the industry as it operates today. My experience allows me to offer guidance that is realistic, relevant and responsive to the challenges actors face in the profession.
As a transgender man, I offer specific insight and mentorship to transgender actors - particularly trans men - drawing on my lived experience and ongoing journey in the industry.
I aim to create a space where students can explore, experiment and grow with confidence, knowing that their identity and wellbeing are respected and supported.
As an actor, some of my work includes, Charley’s Aunt adapted by Rob Madge, Directed by Sophie Drake, The Watermill Theatre, The Mad Gay King by Christopher Adams-Cohen, Directed by Scott Le Crass, The Kings Head Theatre, Shakespeare’s R&J by Joe Calarco, and A Christmas Carol, Directed by Chris Cumings, Reading Rep Theatre, Innocence by Kaija Saariaho, Directed by Simon Stone, Royal Opera House Covent Garden (Olivier Award Winner: Best Opera) Help We’re Still Alive by Tim Gilvin, Directed by Georgie Ranckom, Seven Dials Playhouse Covent Garden, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Directed by Rob Forknall, Changeling Theatre: Touring, Hedwig and The Angry Inch by John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask, Directed by Jamie Fletcher, Leeds Playhouse and Manchester HOME (Best Performer in a Musical, The Stage Debut Awards)

My practice as a coach is most influenced by the Meisner Technique and the Laban-Carpenter Theory of Movement Psychology. My focus is on helping actors connect with their bodies and physical sensations, exploring how these shape and give rise to emotional responses and inner life. This embodied approach supports the development of truthful, fully realised characters.
I offer coaching across a range of genres and texts, including Shakespeare, with sessions available that focus on translating, understanding, and speaking Shakespeare with clarity and confidence.
Sessions are open to actors aged 18 and over, at any stage of their training or ongoing development, including those already working in a professional capacity.
I actively welcome trans performers, with a particular focus on supporting and mentoring trans men. Drawing on my own lived experience as a transgender man working professionally as an actor, I offer guidance, insight, and a supportive space for exploration and growth.
