As an artist, writer, and mentor with over 20 years of experience, I believe creativity is both a skill and a form of healing. My teaching approach blends artistic technique with mindful exploration, encouraging students to express emotions, build confidence, and rediscover joy through art and words.
Teaching Methodology & Techniques
I focus on individualized, hands-on learning that adapts to each student’s needs and goals. Lessons integrate artistic fundamentals—color theory, composition, texture, and storytelling—with creative exercises that spark imagination and reflection. I often use journaling prompts, visual storytelling, and emotion-based color studies to help students connect deeply with their work.
A Typical Lesson
Each session begins with a brief check-in and goal-setting activity, followed by a guided art or writing exercise. We explore different mediums such as acrylics, watercolor, pencil, or mixed media, and may pair creative writing prompts with visual projects. The lesson closes with reflection and gentle feedback to encourage growth and self-awareness.
