About Ayla

I am just a fairy-flavored artist who loves trees, hugs, colors, and whimsy. I am inspired almost entirely by Mother Nature herself, and love nothing more than fostering a creative space for myself and others. I don’t believe there is a wrong way to anything, and that all art is valid and beautiful.

About the lesson

The lesson gets to be whatever you like! I love to explore different mediums and see where the creative flow takes us! I believe it is my life’s purpose to share my love for art and creating with other people, and I’m very passionate about encouraging others to express themselves. I want to create with you however best suits you in the moment :)

Perfect! Ayla was an awesome teacher, she explained color theory in a way that I could understand, and helped me work with the tools and materials that I had. Her style is super laid back and positive, which is what I really needed. As an adult learner who has negative self talk from bad experiences from art teachers as a kid, I needed to replace that script and Ayla always reminds me that I can give myself permission to play and make mistakes. I highly recommend Ayla as a watercolor tutor!

Ayla teaches in a way that feels like two friends sharing secrets. You tell her what makes your heart beat, and she tells you how to bring it to life. She believes in you whether you like it or not. Crying is optional but she'll join if you want.
