About Nadia
I’m an artist, educator and cultural programmer, and teaching has been a constant throughout my life - and remains one of my greatest passions. For over 20 years I’ve moved between making my own work, teaching in art schools, universities and secondary education, working with galleries and museums, curating projects and mentoring people individually.
What I love most about teaching is people. I love sharing knowledge and experience, but just as importantly, I love discovering what somebody else brings into the room. I’ve never seen teaching as a one-way exchange - my students have continually surprised, challenged and taught me too.
There is something incredibly rewarding about seeing someone gain confidence, trust their instincts or suddenly recognise a possibility they hadn’t seen before. That can happen at 8, 18 or 58.
I teach because I genuinely love it: the conversations, the unexpected discoveries, the humour, the breakthroughs and the privilege of accompanying somebody for a small part of their creative journey.

My lessons are about inspiring, empowering and freeing the mind. I encourage curiosity, experimentation and independent thinking, helping each student discover their own creative voice rather than follow a formula. We look, question, make, talk, challenge ideas and take risks. Whether exploring Art History, developing a portfolio or making work, learning is active, playful and connected to the world around us. No two students are the same — and no two lessons should be either.
