About Steve
A member of Oil Painters of America, I first studied art (illustration) at College for Creative Studies in Detroit, and later earned my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at University of Michigan-Dearborn. I have always applied my knowledge and curiosity to my practice in art and design. Later earning my Master of Education degree in 2023, this profound advancement has led me to begin to reach to learners, applying my background and skills to best practices in education to make a real impact for learners.

I am a strong supporter of learning by doing. Knowledge and skills built through action and learning with your hands is a powerful tool. When combined with the guidance of a teacher, learners will excel best when pushed right at the edge of their skills and knowledge. This is where I can be of help.
My approach:
1. Assess current level and skill of students
2. Identify gaps and potential for improvement
3. Tailor approach to advice and lessons that will push learners to their edge
This is leveraging a learner's Zone of Proximal Development for maximum growth, learning, and skill building. This is the crux of my custom approach to transfer of skill and knowledge.
