• When did you start practicing? How did this passion find you?

  Even though I have a love for many forms of art, visual arts and architecture have always held a special place in my heart. Ever since I can remember, I've been painting, drawing, and creating model houses and cities. I've been lucky to have inspiring art, design, and architecture teachers both as a child and later in life. Their encouragement kept me motivated to pursue this path. In high school, I received pedagogical training that shaped me into a teacher. While I chose to study architecture at university, my passion for drawing and painting never faded. Throughout my architectural studies, I continued to create artwork. As I worked on establishing my own art and architecture studio, I also started teaching. To further hone my skills, I participated in various art workshops. Teaching at the university in person and online has been an amazing experience, allowing me to connect with people from all over the world. I feel like this journey has made me a bridge between the local and the global contexts

• Which artists or works inspire you the most?

  Jean Giraud, Nigel Peake, Drawings of Peter Cook (Architect), Fikret Muallâ, Etel Adnan, André Derain, Henri Matisse, Drawing Studio, Hayao Miyazaki

• What are the specific qualities or skills required to succeed in this area?

  The concept of passion is often crucial in the context of the creative process. I consider that passion is a key factor in the ability to repeat a process without giving up, to distance oneself from the creative process and to observe oneself and one's surroundings.

• What is the most valuable advice you can give to help someone stay focused on creative projects?

  Don't be afraid to make mistakes.

• How would you describe your passion; how does it make you feel?

  My enthusiasm for both the creative process of making art and the act of imparting knowledge to others stems from a deep-seated passion.

• What creative achievements are you particularly proud of?

  I have received the SaDe Fund (Artist Support Fund) organized by Mercedes Benz Turk and IKSV. The establishment of my own art, architecture and design studio represented a significant creative achievement for me. Up until that point, I had been uncertain about my ability to create. The architectural design project I completed as part of my graduation requirements was commended by the university for its creativity.

• Have you ever been surprised by a student; by their ability or quick progression?

  Indeed, I have had numerous experiences with this phenomenon. Regardless of the duration of the period in question, I have observed that maintaining a consistent level of participation in the lessons is a crucial factor in achieving this outcome.

• Being a Superprof is an art! What is your secret?

  Passion!
