About James

A bit about me.... My name is James, I have a bachelor's Degree majoring in Graphic Design and Creative Advertising, which I completed at Curtin University in 2020. I'm in my late 20's and live in Mt Lawley with my dog Frankie. I love typography, hand lettering and mixed-media painting with aerosol and acrylic. As for design, I thoroughly enjoy working within the branding and packaging world. I have proficiency with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat and Premier Pro.

I have 4 years of industry experience in my toolkit, working in both in-house and agency roles between Perth and Melbourne. I am currently keeping myself busy working as a Freelance Designer for the Fremantle Dockers Podcast 'Purple Reign' and Rhythm Snowboards based in Melbourne.

Additionally, I have 2 years of mentoring experience, teaching a wide range of abilities, from total Noob to Masters Degree students. Tutoring is a useful tool to help propel your understanding and love for Graphic Design.

About the lesson

Lessons are laid back and informal. I want my students to chances and make mistakes, negativity truly kills creativity!
At the end of the day it's just colours and shapes....

Length of lessons are minimum 45mins to 3 hours.

Lessons are appropriate for beginners, university students and junior and intermediate designers looking to break into the industry.

Are you eager to start your journey in Graphic Design but need guidance? I boast 4 years of diverse industry experience across Perth and Melbourne, spanning in-house and agency environments.
