About Genevieve

I am currently a second-year student at the University of Johannesburg. My passion for mathematics began in Grade 6, when an exceptional teacher helped me see the beauty and logic behind numbers. That experience inspired me to continue with mathematics at the university level and to help others develop confidence and enjoyment in the subject.

I believe that with the right explanations and a supportive approach, anyone can improve in mathematics. My goal is not only to help students achieve better marks, but also to help them truly understand the concepts and feel more confident in their abilities.

I offer tutoring in Afrikaans and English and adapt my lessons to suit each student’s pace and learning style.

About the lesson

I genuinely enjoy teaching mathematics and helping students improve their understanding and confidence. I believe that learning should be engaging and encouraging, not stressful or intimidating.

During lessons, I explain concepts clearly and step by step, adapting my approach to suit each student’s learning style. Whether you are struggling with the basics or aiming to improve your results, I focus on helping you truly understand the work — not just memorise it.

My goal is to help students feel confident in Mathematics, prepare effectively for exams, and develop a more positive attitude toward the subject.
