About André
Having a PhD from Rutgers means that I have had to teach and interact with hundreds of students throughout my years as an instructor. In that time, I made sure to take every student and inquiry seriously, be punctual, and give the highest quality teaching I could offer. My tutoring style revolves around solving problems with the student, making sure that they are following every step along the way. Actively engaging with students as a problem is being solved ensures good communication and is an easy way of answering questions as they come up. It also surprises students by making them realize that they too are more than capable of solving the problems at hand!
I have experience in answering questions from a larger group of students or just one student. The class sizes for the classes I have taught varied between 20-60 students. For all these I also offered weekly office hours in which I was able to give one-to-one style attention to the students. As a student, I took the common standardized exams such as the SAT, ACT, AP calc, GRE, and GRE math subject test, so I have experience in preparing for these as well.
