About Cherie
I'm Cherie! I have been studying American Sign Language since the age of twelve. I fell in love with the language and decided to study it on a college level. I taught children from kindergarten to third grade the language through songs and visuals. I continued to do this during my preschool teaching career, where many of my students at the age of four could communicate via small sentences or words. This is a subject of passion for me, and I hope to share my passion with anyone I tutor.

My approach as an American Sign Language tutor is to create a fun and engaging environment.
We will practice the beginning skills of ASL with letters, numbers, and basic communication. We will practice proper hand placement and form. As your skills develop, we will move on to more detailed subjects and daily life tasks.
My goal is to provide my students with the skills to hold a simple conversation through American Sign Language.
