About Lilly
Hi, I’m someone who is hard of hearing and uses NZSL as my second language in everyday life. I’m passionate about teaching because I understand how powerful sign language can be in creating communication, confidence, connection, and inclusion. As one of New Zealand’s official languages, I believe NZSL should be more accessible not only for the deaf and hard of hearing community, but also for hearing people who want to learn and better understand the language. My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive environment where students feel comfortable learning at their own pace.

My teaching style is relaxed, supportive, and adapted to each learner’s pace and goals. Lessons usually last between 30–60 minutes and are designed for beginners of all ages. As someone who is hard of hearing and uses NZSL daily, I bring personal experience and understanding to every lesson.
