About Rex

I am an American educator living and working in Southeast Asia. I have worked with students online from all over the world in Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Singapore, China and Thailand to help them attain confidence and clarity and gain greater succes in their personal and professional lives.

I have been pleased and honored to work at fine organizations such as the University of Hawaii, Tokai University (Honolulu), Canadian International School (Singapore) and many more.

Although I taught Business and General ESL for more than a decade, I became more and more frustrated and I watched my wonderful students study English for years and still find it difficult and understand native speaker and to express themselves with clarity. That is why I now focus almost exclusively on accent modification and communication skills.

As the Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu said more than 2,000 years ago, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."

About the lesson

Details

Lessons are typically 25 minutes, online via Skype. Hour-long lessons are not recommended, but are available on request.
My lessons demand a considerable cognitive workload from my students, so usually 25 minutes, twice each week is preferrable to 50 minutes once a week.
