About Adam

I have been a teacher of performing arts for 15+ years and during that time have worked at some of the top drama schools in the UK and internationally including, ArtsEd, The Guildford School Of Acting, The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, The Dang Collective, and Performers College.

I have a Master's Degree in Actor Training and Coaching (MFA), and Education (MEd), which includes an extensive study of acting practitioners and practices, performance genres, and vocal pedagogy. Some of my interests include voice pedagogy, stage and screen acting, and technology in performance.

I have worked with thousands of students during my career to advance their skills, confidence, knowledge, and personal goals. I teach internationally online with students all over the world and have only positive reviews of my approach and the classes.

I hold in-person and online classes at my performance studio. Having spent years working in both formats, the classes, content, and atmosphere offer excellent experiences for those looking in improve their acting and vocal skills.

About the lesson

An important part of my approach is that every class atmosphere is fun, engaging, and relaxed. Acting or performing is rewarding and joyful, and described the spirit of my classes.

15+ years of acting experience and thousands of students have taught me to approach each person individually, tailoring the content to meet your interests, and that we share mutual care and respect for each other, establishing a safe digital space to maximize the efficacy of skills training.

We will learn how to warm up properly. We will develop both physical and mental readiness through a custom-designed practical warm-up, that meets your goals and objectives whilst advancing your technique.

We will explore different texts and styles to suit your aims or personal goals. Common aims include Drama School Preparation, LAMDA exams, Public speaking and confidence training, Screen Acting, Theatre Acting, and audition coaching.

Whatever your objectives, my classes are designed specifically to aid you on your journey, and through joyful practice, we will explore and develop the tools kit you need to improve and reach your goals.

We will agree on aims for what happens during the classes and the practice required outside the classes, and work at a pace that suits you towards achieving them. Every part of the class is designed to help advance your skills and confidence, expand your understanding of acting and performance genres, and inform you how to successfully continue developing.

All classes are there to serve you, and through working together online or in-person you can gain the tools needed to achieve your goals.

Please note the 1st lesson or "free trial" varies in time due to age (those students under 15 years old are typically 30 minutes, those under 18 years old are typically 45 minutes, and those over 18 years old are typically 60 minutes). After the initial class, and should both parties wish to continue, all further engagement timings, schedules, and goals are agreed upon.
