About Arthur

I worked as a 3D Modelling/Detailing Engineer at QuEST Global, Bangalore. I've been learning music for the past 12 years.

I've been teaching music for over 3 years now. I had worked at WhiteHat Junior as a Piano tutor for 1 year.

I've trained over 60 students in Guitar, Piano, and Keyboard.
I have helped students from ages 6 to 52 years in securing their music certification.
I was the head of our college music band for 2 years.

I work towards obtaining more grade certification and keep the learning spirit.

I want my students to learn music professionally in a systematic manner, understanding the basics. I conduct in-class quizzes and provide projects to encourage the student to deliver more effort. There is some psychology involved where-in quick learners rely on intelligence rather than blind practice. I would expect my students to communicate with me so that I can concentrate on their strengths. I use Trinity College London materials to teach.

  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

Music is the destination people choose to get themselves emotionally stable. I'm lucky to have the same as my hobby, passion, and second profession. Honestly, I was conditioned to learn music at the age of 10. Nicely done parents.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

I've always had that motive in me to teach, either Engineering or music. When someone says they do not understand, it really means that they lack the prerequisites. It is definitely not about intelligence or any other myths. I wish to break the stereotype of intelligence.
  • How does your work help society?

There are ample students willing to learn music, but they don't get the right teacher. I make sure my students have strong fundamentals in music before our last bye-bye.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

More than a role model, it is my expectations in a teacher that drove me into teaching. It is the confidence that I can make others understand with a little more effort that made all this possible.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

I love volleyball and was the school volleyball captain. I was one of the top carom-board players at my previous workplace. Seriously, I would bully the rookies through the game. I also play computer games rigorously. Any shoutouts for Call of Duty and Rainbow Six Siege?
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

Let's talk about motivation. I used to be a person who is idle, introverted, and not volunteering for anything for that matter. Now, I have created an own brand, started giving classes, created my website, started courses and I do good direct marketing for an introvert. Don't worry about your current state. Your thoughts about improvement (personal, financial) and the future will let you evolve into a whole different person. If I can do, anyone can do. Stay humble and work towards progress. Luck favours the brave, and I wish you bravery. All the best!
