About Shaurya

Hi! I’m a 4th year Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Queensland, and I’ve always loved math and problem solving. I graduated high school in 2021, finishing in the top 6.4% of students in Queensland, with strong external marks in: Physics – 46/50 Chemistry – 46/50 Math Methods – 43/50 Engineering – 21/25 (Subject Award). Back in high school, I actually used to get tutoring for math myself, so I know exactly how much of a difference it can make! It really helped me understand the subject better and greatly improved my grades. That's also a big reason why I started tutoring too, to be able to help others the same way. I know how overwhelming subjects like Math Methods can get, and I’m here to make them more manageable, one step at a time. Whether you're trying to pass or aiming for top marks, I’ll meet you where you're at and help you build confidence along the way. I'm easy to talk to, patient, and always happy to explain concepts in different ways until it clicks. My goal is to make learning feel less stressful and way more doable.

About the lesson

I tutor Year 7–12 QCE Maths, including Math Methods and General Maths. Every student learns differently, so I make sure to adapt each lesson to suit your style, whether that means going over tricky concepts step-by-step, working through practice questions, or preparing for exams.

In a typical session, we might:
- Go over class content you didn’t quite get the first time
- Break down big topics into simpler ideas
- Practice problem-solving with worked examples
- Go through your assignments or help prep for tests

You can choose between structured lessons (where I guide the content) or student-led sessions where you bring questions or topics you’re stuck on. Either way, my goal is to help you feel more confident with maths and actually understand why things work — not just memorise formulas.

I offer online sessions ($55/hr) and face-to-face sessions ($60/hr), and I’m happy to answer quick questions outside of lessons too if you need a hand between sessions.

Whether you're aiming to improve your grades, build a stronger maths foundation, or just feel less stressed at school, I’m here to help.
