About Ed
I am all about meeting the student where they are at and treating each student according to there own specific needs, strengths, abilities, and goals. I aim to do more than raise your grades, I aim to improve your proficiency with an academic discipline that can prove very helpful throughout your life.
I believe that math is a powerful tool to aid the mind in solving problems. Sometimes it is more obvious when math is being used but I believe that a solid understanding of math and math concepts will aid the decision making process whether the person realizes it or not. To help someone improve both their ability and relationship with math is rewarding because I feel like I am helping that person live a better life and making the world a better place.
I have a BA from Western New England University in Liberal Studies. I earned the RPI medal in high school for top math and science student in my class. I currently am certified to teach math in Massachusetts grades 5-12. I tutored full and part time for 4+ years in elementary, middle, and high school.

I want to get to know where the student is at academically so I can best figure out how to help them. I want to learn what they are capabale of presently as well as what their goals are. I will work to find ways to illuminate the areas that have been a struggle and correct any bad habits that may have been created. I also like to make math fun and teach the students to love the subject.

Details
My current structure is 30 and 45 min lessons for $30 and $45 dollars respectively. If that is more than you can afford please let me know because I am willing to try and work with clients so I can reach more of the students who need help.
