About Maya
I started my teaching journey by teaching private clients right off the bat which isn’t the most common route. Though I love the energy shared within a group yoga class, I love the intimacy and bonding experience with the one on ones. I recently opened my own yoga studio, was certified through a studio widely known across the US and though that experience helped me learn, I’ve enjoyed finding my authenticity through my own teaching styles since graduating from my training. In January of this year, I opened up my own yoga studio in Bountiful, UT. We partner with local businesses to support charities and non-profits as well as provide an affordable place people can feel a sense of welcome and community at. Teaching has brought me indescribable joy and fulfillment.

Hiiii Yogi’s! My name is Maya. I can’t wait to meet you. I started doing yoga at age 14. It changed my life a lot more than I even understood. Aside from the physical journey and benefits, my internal being was transforming for what felt like the first time ever. My mental state and confidence in myself and knowing myself skyrocketed. I’ve been doing yoga for 9 years consistently now and don’t plan on stopping. I realized early on that teaching yoga to others was something I wanted to do. Not only because it’s cool as heck but because of how much it benefited me. I believe Yoga is for everybody, and my dream is to make it accessible to everyone.
