I have taught for 27 years and really enjoy the process of watching students improve and gain confidence through strategic preparation. My instructional strategy is student-centered, cultivating a balance between auditory and visual approaches, i.e., reading, writing, and analytical discussion. History, Social Science, and life are best understood from multiple lenses, i.e., social, economic, political, and cultural perspectives. I have taught survey courses (all levels), i.e., intermediate, college prep, and AP US History, American Govt, World History, European History, Cultural Geography. At the end of the day, History is a story well told! The story comes to life and is a wonderful tool to learn about how the world works. Synthesizing, evaluating, and analysis skills grow as the student is guided through the curriculums.
