About Noreen
I am a mentor who values your unique perspective above all else. My teaching character is rooted in constant encouragement and clear, actionable feedback.
With a BMus Composition degree and 6 years of experience, I have developed a deep understanding of what makes a song stick in someone's head. I have taught 81 students ranging from complete beginners to singer-songwriters ready for the stage.
Writing is a craft that requires practice, though I make sure the process stays light and fun. I specialize in breaking down complex topics like rhyme schemes, meter, and song structure.
We look at point of view and perspective to ensure your lyrics carry emotional weight. Editing and rewriting are where the magic truly happens for me. It is genuinely enjoyable to witness a student transform a raw thought into a beautiful, finished piece of art.
