About Anya
Hi! I’m Anya, a native Colombian Spanish speaker, and I’ve always loved teaching and connecting with people.
I have a certification specializing in pedagogy, and throughout my life I’ve discovered that one of the things I enjoy most is helping others understand, learn, and feel confident with something new.
I’m naturally very curious and love having conversations about all kinds of topics. I enjoy learning about different cultures, traveling, meeting people from different backgrounds, and sharing my own experiences as a Colombian.
That’s why my Spanish lessons are not just about grammar or vocabulary. I want you to feel like you’re having a real conversation with someone, while naturally improving your Spanish along the way.
I’m patient, friendly, and I genuinely enjoy adapting my teaching style to each person. Whether you want to learn Spanish from scratch, improve your conversation skills, prepare for a trip to Colombia, or simply feel more confident speaking, I’d love to help you.

My teaching style is very natural, conversational, and personalized. I believe the best way to learn a language is by actually using it, not by memorizing endless grammar rules.
I like to create conversations around real-life topics that my students are interested in, such as travel, food, culture, business, lifestyle, relationships, music, movies, current events, or everyday situations. I ask questions, encourage students to express their opinions, and gently correct mistakes while we talk so they can improve without feeling like they are being tested.
I also adapt the vocabulary and difficulty to each student. My goal is for you to feel comfortable speaking Spanish and gradually become more confident and spontaneous.
