About Lisa
My name is Lisa and I have been an elementary special education teacher for the past 25 years and an online tutor for 2 years. I am a certified Wilson Reading Dyslexia Practitioner and currently tutor students up to grade 9. I utilize google classroom to share information with you and your child.

I offer a focused and individualized approach to reading instruction. I use a specialized reading program and methods designed to address specific needs and unlock each learner’s potential.
I use strategies and techniques to help students with dyslexia develop strong reading skills and build confidence for improving understanding and retention of texts. During tutoring, I use specialized exercises to enhance phonics skills and reading fluency, ensuring smoother and more effective reading experiences.
Students will take part in fun and engaging lessons with boom cards, google activities, reading games, and leveled books. High frequency word games ae incorporated into lessons as well as building phonemic awareness to learn patterns and decodable words.
