The majority of teaching that I do is with complete beginners or those that are at a very competent level. This doesn't mean I am excluding anything in between, it's just happened to be the sort of people whom I have come across.

I approach every lesson by working out what my student wants to learn/get out of the lesson. I then set a target/aim and make sure that it is smashed by the end of the lesson. Setting goals is always very useful!
