About Lorna
Clear instruction is my hallmark as a mentor who graduated from the Royal College of Music. Having taught for 12 years, I guide students through complex areas like rhythm and timing alongside ear training.
My work involves helping pupils master chord voicing and pedalling technique effectively. I focus on building strong foundations with scales and arpeggios while refining memorisation techniques for performance. Patience produces progress. Clarity matters most. Building technical habits creates the freedom to explore music deeply. I utilise my 12 years of experience to ensure every student masters rhythm and timing during our time together.
Annotated practice notes are provided after every lesson to keep your development on track. We incorporate ear training and chord voicing into a logical sequence. Mastering pedalling technique and scales becomes straightforward when we break these skills into manageable parts.
