About Edna

I have teaching experience of 5 years approximately in three universities in Mexico: Tec de Monterrey, UNAM, and ITAM.

I have experience of 15 years tutoring in different subjects, varying from quantitative fields, to arts and cooking.

If I include both experiences (universities and tutoring) I have had more than 500 students!

About the lesson

I can teach both in English and Spanish. You can even improve your Spanish while cooking! Or learn some words that will help you in your next trip to Mexico or the next time you order food in a restaurant!
I have more than 27 years of experience cooking Mexican food. I learnt with the best Mexican chefs: my grandmas!
I started cooking when I was 3 years old and I learnt how to cook Mexican food from scratch! Do you want to make your own tortillas? I can teach you that! Do you want to make real mole and real salsa? You will not want to have salsas from the stores after learning how to do yours! I can tell you the secrets of the spices and you will know exactly which amount is the correct for you.

Cooking is not my main career, but it is my passion and my side career!

In case you are interested in my main career, I am an academic. I have graduate degrees in Economics, Politics, Policy, and Government.

Details

The in person rate of $100 is actually for one hour and a half, it includes ingredients and the utensils needed. Special dishes may require more hours for which I include a special tariff too. For special events or banquetes, we may need 10 hours and there is a special rate too.
The first lesson is free my knowledge, but the cost of the ingredients has to be paid.
The rate for online lessons is half the cost ($50) because it does not include utensils or ingredients.
