About Sofia
Beginning my relationship with music through the violin during childhood remains the core of my identity today. Studying for an MMus Music Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music taught me that true STRENGTH comes from consistent and thoughtful practice habits.
I focus on spiccato and staccato bowing, grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity, and classical repertoire. My work also involves helping students with tuning by ear, rhythm and timing, and ear training. I have spent 11 years guiding 277 students through their unique musical journeys.

Focusing on the physical connection between the player and the instrument is the primary objective of our time together. Developing a clear sense of posture serves as the foundation for every technical skill we cover, from bowing patterns to complex notation. You will receive free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to keep your home practice on track.
These notes act as a map for your 7 minute review cycles throughout the week. It would be a pleasure to help you refine your playing style.
