About Edwin
Teaching exists to provide a bridge for those who left their instruments behind decades ago. The smell of dry rosin dust rising from a fingerboard remains my favorite sensory memory. Adult returners require a calm and structured environment to rediscover their musical identity.
Shifting positions, double stops, and ear training are my primary focus areas. I emphasize tone production, tuning by ear, and rhythm alongside foundational bowing technique.
Music theory and scales help rebuild muscle memory. Precision is everything. Watching former students regain their confidence remains deeply enjoyable for me.

Returning to complex passages often feels overwhelming after a long break. 7.0 is the specific tempo or difficulty level where most players lose their form during independent practice sessions.
My BMus training informs how I break down double stops and bowing technique into manageable components. I provide recorded playback of tricky passages for home practice so you have a clear reference for your individual study.
We address intonation through ear training exercises. Your technique builds slowly to ensure lasting results.
Music theory is integrated directly into the repertoire you choose. Shifting positions becomes effortless through structured mechanical drills. You will steadily reclaim the repertoire you once held dear.
