About Sienna
Hi, I’m Sienna. I offer online one-on-one sessions or in-person up to 20 km.
Currently, I am enrolled as an Honours English major in university. I graduated high school with Honours and took advanced English classes (the AP program at my school). One of my short stories was offered to be published in a novel for teens, and I also wrote articles and poetry for my high school newspaper.
I’ve always loved to read and write, but found it increasingly hard to appreciate the discipline of English class. It’s a tough subject to crack if you aren’t naturally gifted in it, but there are ways to find your own groove. I went from 70s to 90s in English throughout my high school career. Like anything, English is a skill. But like any skill, you have to meet it halfway.
My aim is to help you help yourself. I want to give you unique studying techniques that cater toward your learning style. There are so many ways to excel in an English class, and I want to help you find your own way.

We begin with a FREE 15 minute session where I can get to know you and what you need.
Then, each following session will be completely curated just for you. Whatever you need help with, I am here to guide you and answer your questions in regards to your English studies.

Reading Comprehension — how to properly analyze an essay or exam question
Poetic Analysis — structure, rhyme, alliteration, euphony, synecdoche, enjambment, punctuation, meaning, author vs. speaker
Novel & Short Story Analysis — character development, 3 (sometimes 5) act structure, tone, irony, foreshadowing, conflict, themes
