Tyler is a great teacher! He is kind, patient, and always willing to help. He creates a welcoming environment and makes everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their skill level. I had a wonderful experience in his class and learned a lot. I’m looking forward to taking more classes with him in the future!

I took beginner drawing with Tyler in Brooklyn. He was such a vibe! He would give individual pointers, which I really appreciated, and if we got stuck, he would take the time to show us why, even drawing it again with us. I found myself scribbling his quotes in my notebook because he had great nuggets about drawing and storytelling in general. He was also open to our own unique interests. For example, I’m interested in comic writing, and when I asked about it—though there are separate classes for comics—he gave me the basic rundown. Most importantly, making art was fun and relaxing because of his grounding presence.

I highly recommend Tyler! I had the opportunity to take both his Drawing and Oil Painting classes, and they were an incredible learning experience. He is extremely patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to take the time to explain techniques in a way that’s easy to understand. Whether working with beginners or more experienced students, he creates a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable asking questions. I would love to take another class with Tyler in the near future.
