Growing up around 2 family-run tuition businesses, I started my own and offer 8+ years of tuition experience across 4+ different levels to my students. This is a great advantage when it comes to helping students maximise their overall academic success because it has developed my dynamic way of thinking to support students in achieving their goals, regardless of age, ability, or any variable alike. I love sharing my passion for learning and convey enthusiasm in all my tuition sessions - I hope to help you achieve your goals soon!

My teaching methodology is tailored individually for each student. Everybody learns in different ways, with academic research splitting students into five broad learning groups: visual, auditory, reading and writing, and kinaesthetic learners. I have 8+ years of real-world experience in not only teaching all of these different types of learners, but also those learners that do not identify as falling under any such category. I strongly believe that no two students are the same, hence when teaching the relevant subject matter, I always maintain an open mind and ensure teaching is done so in a way that is most optimal for the student as an individual. A typical initial session would consist of firstly discussing the student's personal goals and lesson motivations, which then enables addressing what the student would like to focus their time on in our sessions. This includes, but is not limited to, discussion of what the student finds more difficult, the largest components of the syllabus, topics the student has missed, etc. I then focus my learning on the following components: 1. Content - Teaching from first principles, learning all the way from broad outlines to fine details, at whatever pace necessary, depending on the student's needs. 2. Revision - Brushing up on subject matter the student feels they have learned and putting their knowledge and understanding to the test. 3. Exam technique - Mastering how to convey learnings in the exam, learning from rigorous analysis of mark schemes, examiner reports, and more, as well as my own personal academic experience, in order to maximise not only learnings but results when it comes to completing the final exam.

Thank you and take care xxErin is an exceptional tutor.
Both my sons are being tutored by him and they now actually understand and thrive at the topics and look forward to their lessons because they say that when being tutored by Erin, it’s as if they are not actually in a lesson, because of his unique tutoring technique.
I would highly recommend Erin to everyone.View more recommendations
