About Bonnie

Hi I'm Bonnie! I’m currently a 2nd year student studying a Bachelor of Commerce at UNSW. During my HSC year, I received a Band 6/E4 in the following subjects:
- Mathematics Advanced (External Mark - 97/100, Overall Mark - 95/100)
- Mathematics Extension 1 (Overall Mark - 46/50)
- Economics (Overall Mark - 93/100)
- Biology (Overall Mark - 92/100) (Ranked 1st in HSC Biology Internally)

However, I wasn't always a top ranking student and was in fact projected to obtain Band 5's based on my Year 11 rankings. If you feel the same, don't stress because I've been in your exact shoes and this is why I can help! It wasn't until the start of Year 12 that I made significant changes that set me up for success. My rankings for Year 11 in comparison to Year 12 were the following:
- Mathematics Advanced (26th --> 15/108)
- Mathematics Extension 1 (39th --> 13/90)
- Economics (12th --> 2/32)
- Biology (26th --> 3/62)

In my spare time, I love to play and watch sports (especially football and oztag), hike and try cooking new recipes!

About the lesson

- I tutor Mathematics for any student from K-Y12 (Mathematics Advanced for Y11-Y12), Biology (Y11-Y12) and Economics (Y11-Y12)!
- Being a recent graduate and a tutor with years of experience, I'm extremely familiar with the new HSC syllabus and confident in my abilities to help YOU succeed
- I have experience in marking HSC Past Paper Exams against NESA's Marking Criteria and any exams in general, and providing personalised constructive feedback for my students
- I have a genuine passion for helping my students become stronger learners and I tailor all my lessons to YOUR needs and learning style
- Having juggled the HSC and UCAT (and receiving a 92nd percentile) within the same year, I can provide useful tips on the DO's and DONT's on how to properly manage your time and work productively
- I provide 24/7 support, answering any questions needed outside of lesson hours

Recent Success:
- I recently tutored a HSC Biology student who, before she came to me, was ranking in the 20s because she would lose 1-2 marks on each question on her exam papers. To help her improve, I broke down each question with the main focus on identifying the key verb and went through the foundations on how to receive full marks for each answer. After providing her with countless Past Paper HSC questions and detailed feedback afterwards, her growth was evident in her improved rankings. In her 3rd assessment task, she ranked 4th and in her trial, she ranked 2nd, overall bringing her cumulative rank to 8th.
