About Ada
Violin performance is often seen as a rigid pursuit, yet my 13 years of instruction prove that flexibility remains the most essential skill. Having earned an MMus from Juilliard, I transitioned from playing in regional chamber ensembles to a full-time teaching career. My focus remains on bowing technique and shifting positions to ensure complete comfort.
How do you feel about your current progress with intonation and rhythm and timing? We can also refine your tuning by ear, posture and hold, plus left-hand agility to ensure you play with ease. What specific goals do you have for your technique?

Focus defines the room. During our 6 minute warm up, we establish the tone for the entire session.
We review your progress from the previous week and adjust your posture. My approach utilizes the MMus training I gained at Juilliard to isolate complex passages. We break down difficult measures into manageable sections. This method ensures that every student builds a strong foundation.
I have found that persistent, small adjustments lead to significant gains over time. Working through these details remains a joy for me.
