About Narasimha
I failed in my 1st grade at a public school in India. I was grounded by my mother and went through elementary home schooling . Then I failed the entrance tests at two high schools
because of my original answers. However I gained entrance, at the second one in 1953, in place of a student who transferred to another school. I followed the 5 Step method which my 5th grade educated mother asked me to follow. During the night before attending the Class,
1. Read the Lessons from Textbooks.
2. Reviewed Lesson Summaries.
3. Attempted to answer a few questions. On the Class day.
4. Attended the class recalling what I already learnt.
5. Finished my homework after the school and before reading the next lesson.
In five years I became the School Valedictorian with a Gold Medal. All my education up to PhD was due to scholarships and teaching assistantships, both in India and the US.

I teach Math and Mechanics in my "Skill Integrated Instruction, Learning and Assessment (SIILA)" Method . In SIILA I develop student skills in OpenOffice and Mathcad (free downloads) for High Speed Practice of Problems with self assessment by identifying the problem Type, based on the unknowns to be found.
I first teach Single-step / Single-answer Questions. Next Integrate them into Multi-step / Multi-answer Problems. Where applicable I integrate Graphical, Calculator and Mathcad SIMSolution, (Simplified Integrated Method of Solution) for a Holistic and Visual Learning.
