About Russell
Strumming my first acoustic at 5 years old remains my most vivid memory. These calloused fingers have spent 13 years gigging across the Midwest. I hold a Bachelor of Music in Industry from Belmont University.
My teaching style is playful and patient. I am a neurodivergent-affirming mentor for those with ADHD or autism.
Visual and kinesthetic methods guide my instruction. I help players escape pentatonic jail. My approach prioritizes ear training over tedious theory. I cherish the time spent jamming with students every single week.

Clarity arrives when you finally understand how power chords and improvisation fit together. You will find that my lessons bypass traditional gatekeeping to focus on what you actually hear. We spend 60 minutes dissecting grade exam prep or basic maintenance with a focus on your specific goals.
