About Ivy
I am a passionate guitar tutor with 12 years of teaching experience and a Master’s Degree in Music Performance. I have trained students of all ages and abilities, helping them develop strong technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence in performing.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and student-focused. I adapt each lesson to suit individual learning styles and goals, ensuring every student feels supported while progressing at a comfortable and motivating pace that builds long-term skill development.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy composing music, exploring different guitar genres, attending live concerts, and studying various playing techniques. These interests allow me to bring creativity, real-world experience, and fresh inspiration into every lesson, making learning both effective and enjoyable.

My guitar lessons are carefully structured to help students build strong fundamentals while enjoying the process of learning music. Each session is tailored to your skill level, whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced player looking to refine technique and expand your musical creativity.
Lessons cover essential areas such as chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, scales, music reading, timing, improvisation, and ear training. I incorporate a wide range of styles including acoustic, rock, pop, blues, and classical to keep learning engaging and versatile.
I focus on steady progress through clear explanations, practical exercises, and real song application. Students are encouraged to develop confidence, musical expression, and discipline, ensuring they not only play guitar well but also enjoy expressing themselves through music.
