About Ashley
Music exists because it connects us to our history and to each other. I teach to preserve the beauty of the bolero tradition while guiding you through the technical demands of the keyboard. My 13 years of experience involve teaching 81 students across diverse skill levels. Having earned my Licenciatura en Música from UNAM and a BM from Berklee, I understand the balance between rigid theory and expressive performance.
I track your progress every month to ensure we are always moving forward. I live for the moments when a student finally captures the right emotional weight in a phrase. My own piano is rarely silent at home.

Piano mastery is a deliberate sequence of small, consistent technical achievements. I use my 13 years of experience to ensure your posture and hand position support long hours of practice without strain. We focus heavily on ear training and sight playing, which are essential for any well-rounded musician.
My approach leans on the formal training I received at UNAM and Berklee to ensure you have a solid foundation in sight transposition and accompaniment. I share a detailed progress tracker with parents every month so that every milestone is visible. I am happy to help you find your own voice through the keys.
