About Joyce
Spending 6 years gigging throughout the American South taught me that rhythm matters more than speed. I hold a Diploma in Music Performance from Musicians Institute Hollywood to back up those lessons. Teaching started when open mic regulars asked how I played my sets. I work with absolute beginners and teens daily.
We cover everything from RHYTHM GUITAR to reading tabs. Scales and modes are part of the process too. My focus is on helping you find your own voice. Are you ready to start playing these songs yourself?

Does getting the hang of chord transitions feel like a chore sometimes? Playing music should feel like a relief after a long day. My lessons use the techniques I refined during 13 years on the road.
We look at tuning and maintenance so you are always gig ready. Having a Diploma in Music Performance ensures you get solid foundations for your playing. I keep things grounded in the protest song tradition because that is where the soul of the guitar lives.
