About Maryam
Hi, I'm Maryam and for the last 12 years, I've been teaching students in Grades 2 through 5 at some of the city's top schools. I love to paint, swim and play tennis. You might be surprised to know that I'm actually a qualified dentist — but my heart has always been in the classroom. I believe learning should be an adventure and not a duty and my aim is make Math easy, fun and enjoyable for you.

I know that math anxiety is real — and my first job is to make your child feel safe with numbers. I break every concept into small, manageable steps and use real-life examples (money, shapes, cooking, sports) so math stops feeling abstract and starts making sense. Some kids need to draw it out. Some need to move around. Some need to talk through their thinking. I adapt to whatever works for them on that day.
My students don't just memorize formulas — they understand why things work. Many have advanced to top middle schools with strong math foundations. Whether your child needs help with arithmetic, word problems, fractions, or early geometry, I design lessons that build real confidence.
