I am a 15 year old high school junior (11th grade) looking to help people preferably from 6th to 8th grade improve skills in spelling, grammar, paragraph structure and essay writing. I am able to work through a text messaging app or an app where I can share my screen (preferably Discord or Google Meets). I am unable to communicate orally as I am unable to afford a microphone (part of the reason I'm doing this, to upgrade my current situation so I can improve my work capabilities), but I can listen to the student talk and respond via text.
A typical lesson plan will be quite straightforward: The lessons will consist of me trying to make the content as clear and easily understandable as possible, asking the student if they are okay and understand the topics, as well as occasionally providing the student with a short task to prove their understanding.
My teaching methodology is to be very straightforward; tell them exactly what the content is and try to explain it as clearly and simply as possible. Unless requested, I will not ask the students to do anything in their free time relating to the lessons.
These lessons are targeted towards students from the 6th to 10th grade who struggle with topics presented in their regular English classes such as essay writing, grammatical errors and spelling errors.
I am available almost every weekday from the hours of 3:50pm to 5pm eastern standard time.
