About Nancy
Open-mic regulars started asking me how I played certain parts, so I began teaching. I have been gigging as a singer-guitarist for 9 years across the American South and Southwest.
My 13 years of experience covers fingerpicking, power chords, and blues progressions. I rely on my USC BM Popular Music degree to explain music theory simply. I help grade exam candidates and returning learners grasp ear training and complex strumming patterns.
My approach is laid-back and focused on actual music. I make sure you get results.

Struggling to maintain momentum is the most common hurdle for new players. One single habit of consistent practice changes everything for the hobbyist musician. I use a practice module with every lesson to keep you moving forward steadily. We work on your barre chords and tuning or maintenance so your instrument feels right.
My background as a gigging musician means I know exactly how to fix your technique. I teach you to read tabs and understand the mechanics behind your favorite songs. These sessions are built for adults who want to play real music.
