About Gail
Playing in 6 bands and touring the New York metro area definitely shaped my perspective on what matters when holding an instrument. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Music from Los Angeles College of Music and have spent 13 years refining these methods. My teaching covers strumming patterns, acoustic technique, songwriting, improvisation, soloing, rhythm guitar, barre chords, ear training, chord transitions, fingerpicking, and grade exam prep.
I treat my instruction like we are hanging out in your living room, focusing on real playing situations rather than dry theory. The technical hurdles I faced while releasing 3 records are exactly what I help you solve today. Sometimes I just keep showing up with my amp and pedalboard to help others get that same sound.

Turning on a custom backing track while I stand there with my pedalboard makes practice feel like a live performance. These sessions bridge the gap between academic music theory from my degree and the gritty reality of actual gigging.
You will walk away from our time together knowing how to handle tone problems and songwriting shortcuts in real time. I guide you through the nuance of soloing, fingerpicking, and rhythm guitar using the same gear setups I used on the road.
