I am a dedicated guitar tutor with 11 years of experience, holding a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar. My passion lies in guiding students towards success in competitive music exams, scholarships, and auditions. Lessons start with building a strong foundation in chords, scales, and fingerstyle, gradually moving towards advanced improvisation and repertoire. I encourage using music as a tool for stress relief and emotional expression, guiding students to connect their feelings with their playing. Creative discovery is central to my methodology, allowing students to explore composition, improvisation, and arranging their own pieces. Confidence building is another key focus, achieved through performance practice, mock recitals, and ensemble experiences. Students learn to read music, understand theory, and improve ear training, which strengthens both technical and expressive skills. I tailor exercises to each student’s goals, whether mastering intricate classical pieces or experimenting with jazz improvisation. We also use backing tracks, recording tools, and play-along apps to enhance practice and track progress.
