As a fellow artist and teacher I've been inspired by Brandon's personal and professional works. I've spent most of my musical career feeling theory-handicapped. I've watched the YouTube videos, I've read the helpful articles, and I've even had a close personal friend try to hold my hand through the journey, but I've just never really been able to absorb it.
Feeling helpless and defeated, I was ready to abandon the journey of learning theory, but was talked into giving it one more shot with Brandon. While I can't sit here and tell you that I'm now a theory expert, I can tell you that Brandon has patiently curated an approach that has finally broken through whatever barrier I seem to have.
Now in my mid 30s, after playing music for most of my life, I'm finally starting to "get it". This has left me with a feeling of accomplishment that is difficult to put into words, but can be described as this overwhelming feeling of; "I'm not hopeless after all". I've still got a long way to go, and I don't know if I'll ever truly understand it all, but I'm now further along than I had grown to think I would ever be.
