About Abigail
Hello, my friend!
First things first: you are an amazing writer. Don’t believe me? Think again! You have a unique combination of knowledge and stories that no one else does. And you share information and stories everyday with friends and family. Now it’s just a matter of putting the things you learn and want to say on a page. That’s where I come in!
A little about me and my experience teaching others:
-Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s in English in 2021
-Took a semester-long training class for tutors at my university
-Worked in my school’s writing center for almost 3 years
-Tutored in the summer program for TRIO’s Upward Bound
-Was selected as a professor‘s assistant for a class called ENG 321 Sentence, Grammar, and Style
I also want to share a few fun facts about myself so you can get to know me a little!
-I’m a huge Marvel nerd
-I consume way too much Mountain Dew
-When I’m not tutoring, I have another job at Disney World
-My favorite pastime is watching YouTube

Any subject, any stage of the writing process: using a current assignment from the student, I’ll help build confidence in their writing, research, and grammar skills beyond a single research paper or essay.
Here’s how it works:
1. Bring a current writing assignment to work on (no words on the page yet? No research done? No problem! ANY stage of the writing process)
2. I will collaborate with the student and help them build necessary skills for academic writing (such as brainstorming topics, researching effectively, proofreading, etc) using that assignment
3. The practical application of those skills will cement them as tools in the student’s arsenal that they will be able to use for future assignments. And at the end of the process, they will have finished an assignment, too!
I believe that writing is a skill that builds upon itself overtime. Anyone can do it! They just need to find the strategies that work for them.
