About Bessie
"Strict discipline is rarely the most effective way to help a student succeed. I have taught 233 students over 12 years, yet I find that meeting people exactly where they are currently standing yields the fastest progress.
After earning my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Studies from the Queensland Conservatorium, I transitioned my pedagogical focus to the violin. My sessions emphasize spiccato and staccato bowing along with essential ear training and tuning by ear.
Navigating the nuances of classical repertoire requires a calm, clear, and steady hand. I guide students through grade exam prep for ABRSM and Trinity boards with a focus on rhythm and timing. My methods are grounded in the belief that technique should support musicality at every stage. I am confident in helping you refine your bowing technique to achieve a professional sound."
