About Sarah
I believe teaching to be an act of servitude. The ideas and knowledge I seek to give to my students comes from the violin and viola pedagogy passed down to me from my many teachers over the years. It is with great humility that I seek to pass down these most beloved traditions of the violin and viola using the tried and true pedagogy of the great teachers from the past.

Hello, for the past 25 years I have been teaching both private and group violin and viola lessons. I have experience teaching ages 5 and up. I have created rich music programs for schools, Universities, Symphony education programs, and private programs. I have taught hundreds of students through the Suzuki book 8 range and have developed proven methods to help students learn the fingerboard early on with my finger pattern system. Additionally, my students develop essential bow technique early on as we separate the two hands and gradually put them back together. As a teacher, I have polished and honed my skills with my many years of teaching. I continually learn from my students how to be a better teacher. I am deeply passionate about helping students learn these most beautiful of string instruments; violin and viola.
