About Shelley
My name is Shelley Thomas and I have a HUGE passion for languages and cultures! Ever since I was a little girl I enjoyed learning about other countries and their traditions. I believe learning other languages allows us to connect with so many more people. I have two degrees, one in Spanish and the other in French. I've been teaching both languages to kids and adults in classroom and virtual settings for the past 6 years. I love to have fun and get creative with my students through storytelling and character creation. I use my students interests and hobbies to drive the course content. I can't wait to meet you all and start learning more languages together!

Tired of grammar exercises and vocabulary flashcards? ME TOO!
Learning a language should be fun and exciting! I believe in learning second languages in the same way we learned our native language. I use a method called Comprehensible Input which means I'll be speaking 90% of the time in the target language (Spanish or French), BUT in a way that you will understand what I'm saying.
We will create stories, characters, do movements all in the target language to help you feel more confident and comfortable hearing and using the language.
