About Yan
I am currently living in Cambridge, New Zealand. I have seven years of experience as a primary school Mandarin teacher, along with additional experience teaching online. I previously worked as a Software Testing Analyst, but returned to teaching because it is my passion. I aim to make Mandarin learning fun, engaging, and effective for every student.

My teaching experience is primarily with children aged 5–13, but I can teach all levels and age groups. I customize my teaching methods and techniques to suit each learner’s personality, pace, and preferences. Lessons typically run 40–90 minutes depending on age and needs, but I am flexible with duration.
