About Winnie
Learning a language should feel like sitting by a warm campfire where mistakes are just part of the conversation. The sound of a new vowel hitting your ear for the first time is a sensory experience that grounds your progress. I emphasize listening practice during every session to ensure you capture the rhythm of native speakers.
My lessons cater to adults and kids looking for practical skills like idioms and expressions that actually appear in daily life. I ensure we cover the technical side of phonetics while keeping the vibe relaxed and encouraging. You will find that my approach makes even the trickiest grammar points feel manageable. We will get you speaking confidently before the summer ends.

Growing up with native French and a BA Music from McGill, I naturally bridge the gap between language and art. I have spent 9 years of experience helping 240 students navigate everything from basic travel French to complex exam preparation for the DELF or DALF. My work involves teaching kids and adults how to master difficult nasal sounds and the nuances of liaison. I guide people through cultural context so they understand why certain idioms feel so essential.
Many of my students are relocating or immigrating and need to build conversational fluency from scratch. I spend my time helping learners refine their accent and intonation until they feel comfortable speaking in any setting. We often use role play and dialogue practice to ensure they can handle real world scenarios. I also assist with reading comprehension to make sure they feel confident in their new environment.
My students range from French learners who want to sing chanson to those prepping for official tests. I am clearly the right person to help you.
