About Cornelius
Spending 12 years gigging in Nashville and Austin shaped my approach as a self-taught musician who performs and teaches in Seattle. I focus on improvisation, soloing, chord transitions, ear training, lead guitar, tuning, maintenance, tabs, sheet music, rhythm, scales, modes, and acoustic technique. My methods are simple. You will find that I prioritize practical playing over dry theory.

Songs are best learned by playing them rather than isolating tiny mechanical pieces. I start by performing a diagnostic skills check to build a plan for your unique goals.
We work on the bridge between technical guitar ability and your personal musical expression. My 12 years of experience inform how I guide students toward actual performance readiness.
