About Dylan
We start by tuning your instrument until the tension feels just right. Your hands learn to navigate the fretboard through consistent fingerpicking exercises. I show you how to manage chord transitions and read tabs for your favorite songs. This approach works well for teens, hobbyists, or grade exam candidates.

I teach because the guitar is the most honest way to tell a story. Sometimes I forget that not everyone hears music in the polyrhythmic patterns I grew up with in the Latin circuits.
My path took me from the Licenciatura en Guitarra Flamenca program in Mexico to the classrooms of Berklee. Along the way, I gigged in Tex-Mex and Latin pop bands for 7 years to sharpen my ear. I hold a deep respect for both technical sheet music and the raw feeling of a blues progression. It is a genuine pleasure to help a student hear the nuance in their own chord transitions.
